I stepped back and looked up to see who it was and my breath hitched.
I met with a pair of gorgeous chocolate brown eyes and plump red lips. He was by far the most attractive guy I have ever laid my eyes on.
“I’m sorr— I’m sorry,” I started to stutter and embarrassed myself in front of this really cute guy.
Way to go, Nandini.
The worse thing was, he didn’t even look at me and rushed past me like I didn’t exist. I felt bad and pissed at myself for feeling that way. I never felt like this before.
But wait! Why I’m finding his face so familiar? Did I meet him, before? But how it can be possible? I’m new here!
Should I ask him? Will he talk to me? Will I able to talk to him?
Oh God, Nandini. What are you thinking? Just look at him, What his personality and what my personality? No comparison!
Huh, I shook myself out of my trance and headed to my orientation. I reached my class on time and started to find a seat. Everyone was chatting like they knew each other before. I began to feel nervous and mentally scolded myself for roaming around the campus instead of finding a seat before everyone came.
Finally, I found a seat at the corner of the room and sunk into the chair. Everyone was talking among themselves and going through the course material in front of them. I felt like a loner and ran my hands through my hair in frustration.
“Hey, Are you alright?” I heard a voice next to me. Great, I already looked like I was gonna pass out. I hesitantly turned and found a short wavy-haired guy with specs looking at me with concern.
“I’m fine, I’m just nervous.” I gave him a nervous smile. He seemed friendly and smiled back at me.
“I know, I’m nervous too. Between hey, I’m Aryaman!” He introduced himself and gave a lopsided grin, extending his hand.
“I’m Nandini,” I shook his hand and relaxed at the prospect of making a new friend.
He seemed nice and tried to have a conversation with me now and then throughout orientation. I felt proud of myself that I made a friend on my first day.
It’s a very big thing for me!
We walked outside the class together and waved goodbye. The rest of the day went pretty much fine and I ended up having another class with Aryaman. I also had two assignments for the day and was exhausted already. Instead of walking back home, I decided to call Ananya and told her that I was waiting near the entrance. While I was waiting for her, I saw the guy I bumped into earlier this morning. He was leaning against his car with his friends and laughing.
Damm! He was really attractive. He wore a light blue button-down shirt with his sleeves rolled up and dark stone jeans. His hair was tousled in a careless manner which made him look hot as hell. He had a perfect jawline with day-old stubble. I wondered how it would feel to run my hands through his jawline.
Woah! Where did that come from?
I caught myself staring at him and peeled my eyes from him. What was wrong with me? I was acting like a teenage girl. I never behave like this. Seriously, what is happening to me? And why I’m attracting to him? Did I know him? This thought again crossed my mind.
Oh, gawd!!! Let it be, Nandini.
After what felt like forever, Anny pulled up and I got in. The drive home was surprisingly quiet.
Once we reached home, Anny started to bomb me with questions. “How was the class? Did you meet any hot guys? Did you make any friends?”
Gawd! Did she really start thinking of herself as my mother?
“Slow down, bro! ” I laughed as I sat down on the couch, telling her what happened throughout my day but omitting the sexy brown eyes along the way.
“And?” She eyed me suspiciously.
“And that’s all,” I tried to keep myself busy by walking into the kitchen to get a glass of water.
“Spill it, you liar!” She stated casually while following me into the kitchen, sitting on top of the counter. I sighed and told her all about the little encounter with Mr Brown Eyes.
“Now that’s what I’m talking about. Trust me, Nanz, when he looks at you he won’t be able to take his eyes off you,” she squealed.
God, does this girl ever run out of energy?
“I don’t think it’s possible, Anny, he is way out of my league and I don’t care if he looks at me or not. I’m not interested. It was just some stupid accident.”
“Whatever you say,” she grinned at me wickedly.
There was no winning with her!
After dinner, I went to my room and change into a comfortable loose t-shirt and shorts. I started to work on my assignment and after some time, I started feeling sleepy and couldn’t able to open my eyes, so I pulled up my sheets and tried to sleep.
But… I wasn’t able to sleep too. Whenever I tried to close my eyes, a certain pair of brown eyes started coming in front of my eyes. Ugh.. what’s happening to me? Finally, after rolling and turning my positions, I fell asleep.
