I just can’t believe that she is Manik’s daughter.
No, no there has to be some misunderstanding.
But I saw guilt in his eyes. If she hadn’t been his daughter, he would have denied it at that moment only.
“Why he didn’t deny?” This question is revolving in my mind.
“Oh God, my mind is blasting. Please, wake me up from this nightmare.” I murmured and moved my hands through my hair, going crazy.
Suddenly the cloud thundered and it started raining heavily. I knew that it would rain today, but I didn’t think that I would be standing alone and drenching in rain like this. I never thought that this would happen today. I’m terribly hurt.
I can’t stay here. I took out my phone and booked a cab for myself. The car arrived within a minute.
I held the handle to open the door of the car, but stopped as I heard Manik’s voice. “Princess…”
I want to confirm the truth before going because my heart is not ready to believe that she is his daughter. He can’t betray me.
I left the handle and turned around after taking a deep breath. He is sprinting towards me.
“ I can explain,”
I cut his words and asked sternly. “Manik, is she your daughter?”
“Princess, I can explain to you everything,”
I again cut his words. “Manik, is she your daughter? Yes or No?” I asked, glaring at him in fury.
He silently stared at me for a few seconds before saying, “she’s my daughter.” His answer wrung my heart and tears trickled down my cheeks. My hand mechanically raised in the air and landed on his cheek.
I slapped him.
He placed his hand on his cheek and moved his eyes down on the floor in guilt. I stared at him in utter disbelief. I’m hurt, angry and dumbfounded.
“I trusted you so much, Manik, and you betrayed me. I never thought that you would be hiding such a big truth from me.” I said in utter disbelief.
He moved his eyes to me and as he lifted his hands to hold my face, I jerked his hands away in fury. “You broke my trust and broke me.” I cried out, badly hurt.
I became hysterical and started crying. “Why did you do this, Manik? Why?” I asked after grasping the collars of his coat.
“You have a daughter and I didn’t even know this.” My voice trembled with outrage.
“Please, listen to me.” He implored and I pushed him away.
“Why would I listen to you when you hid such a big thing from me?” I thundered in fury.
“I can explain to you.”
I shook my head. “No, I don’t need any explanation now. You have ruined everything.” I stormed.
“Your anger is justified. I know, I should have told you the truth earlier, Princess,”
“Don’t call me Princess, you have lost that right. I’m not your Princess anymore, Mr Manik Malhotra.” As I glowered at him, he shut his eyes dejectedly.
I wish she was not his daughter. I’m badly hurt. This is unbelievable.
“If he has a daughter, he probably has a wife too.” As this thought came into my mind, my heart throbbed with immense pain.
I’m going because I’m not in the state to handle more. I can’t bear more heartbreak.
I turned toward the car and grasped the handle. Before I could open the door, he held my hand and stopped me from opening the door.
“If you love me, you won’t go without listening to me.” As he said, I glared at him over my shoulder.
I never thought that my biggest secret would come like this in front of my Princess. I wanted to tell her about Saira, my daughter but didn’t tell her because I was afraid to lose her.
When Princess rushed out of the Party hall, I wanted to go behind her at that moment only, but I didn’t go because I met my daughter after such a long time. She lives in London with her mother.
She is five years old and she has grown up in London. She had never come to India before because I wanted to hide this truth from the whole world. I talk to her on video calls and visit London twice or thrice a year to meet my little daughter.
I composed myself and lifted her in my arms. “Saira, daddy also missed you a lot.” I kissed her forehead.
She is my mistake, but she’s my daughter and I love her a lot.
“You’re lying, you don’t miss me. Therefore you didn’t come to meet me this year.” She pouted angrily at me.
“Daddy loves you so much and you know that.” I placed a kiss on her cheek.
I frowned at her mother who is coming to us with my dad.
“Do you like this surprise, Manik?” Dad asked me and I gave Saira to her mother, glaring at her angrily.
“Stop interfering in my life, Dad.” I growled at him, but keep my voice low because I don’t want to shout in front of Saira.
As he opened his mouth say something, I showed him my hand. “Just go from here, I don’t want to talk.” He shook his head and strolled from there.
“Daddy will meet you later on, Saira, because he has important work.” I caressed her hair fondly, smiling at her.
I frowned as I moved my eyes to her mother who is staring at me silently. How dare she came here without my permission? I won’t leave her for coming here like this and bringing the truth in front of my Princess like this.
But before I have to stop Princess and explain to her everything. I know It’s my fault and I’ll do anything for her forgiveness.
I went outside and stopped her, but she was badly hurt and she wasn’t ready to listen to me. She even slapped me, but I deserve it for lying to her. I broke her trust. I know I should have told her about Saira. She can punish me, I’m ready for it, but I don’t want to lose her.
But now I won’t let go. I’ll explain everything to her and then it will be her decision.
She turned towards the car and as she grasped the handle to open the door, I instantly gripped her hand and stopped her. I won’t let her go with so many questions in her mind. I don’t want her to think wrong about me. I don’t want to lose my Princess.
“If you love me, you won’t go without listening to me.” I said and she glared at me over her shoulder.
I’m certain she won’t go now because she loves me a lot, she’s just angry. Nothing can separate her from me. No truth is bigger than our love. Our love is the strongest.
So what do you, Nandini will go or she will listen to Manik?
What do you think, who is Saira’s mother?
Do you like the twist?
